WHAT IS FAITH FORMATION LIKE AT WRPC?
Learn. Listen. Read. Discuss. Explore. Imagine. These are elements of Faith Formation at WRPC. Through an array of various classes and intentional groups, participants of all ages engage informed ways to ‘love God with heart, mind and strength’.
WHAT TIME DO I ARRIVE?
Sunday morning Faith Formation classes begin at 9:45 a.m. (Labor Day - Memorial Day). Worship begins at 11 a.m.
ARE SMALL CHILDREN WELCOME?
West Raleigh welcomes children of all ages in worship! God put the wiggle in children—don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. Most Sundays, after the Lesson for Young Christians, children aged 3 1/2—8 are invited to Children’s Worship, a story and response experience in their own worship space. For infants and toddlers, loving and safe childcare is available in room 115 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
MAY A VISITOR TAKE COMMUNION?
Yes! West Raleigh celebrates an open table. The Book of Order declares, “All who come to the Table are offered the bread and cup, regardless of their age or understanding.”
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
West Raleigh’s parking lot is located on the corner of Horne Street and Vanderbilt Avenue. It is accessible via Vanderbilt, across the street from the church. Ample street parking is available on the blocks surrounding the church as well as on Hillsborough Street.
WHERE SHOULD I ENTER THE BUILDING?​
There are two points of entry on Sunday mornings—a covered entrance on Vanderbilt Ave. and a large red door in the courtyard facing Horne Street.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress up, dress down - just come dressed!
